How Tough Is Your Life?

Not a single person is satisfied with his life. Why? The question seems clear-forward, but the answer is un-describable. We want everything to be with us, money, perfect health, pleasant surroundings, bliss and expect only positives.  Motivational quotes and inspiring life stories, we all share and appreciate them but still complain about our lives.  Let me give out an example:

“I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” - Jimmy Dean

How motivating this quote is? You read it, think about it for few minutes, and it’s gone. You’re back to the negative side, back to cursing yourself and your life.

Not everybody is perfect; everything comes with its goods and bad. Imagine every single person being same? IMPOSSIBLE! Because life is meant to be that way.

Let’s have a simple comparison.

A rich man earning well and living in a bungalow. Rolling in Audi and Mercedes, throwing parties every weekend, spending cash as if its water, wearing branded clothes and the list goes on. To any second person, this life will be a ‘dream-life’ and what they call ‘the perfect life’.  But the reality is something different. That rich man is NOT living the real life. Do you think he is problem-free? Do you expect him to be from the Heavens?  Money isn't the only goal in life. Living a successful and a jubilant life is what we should aim for.  He even has a family, a beautiful wife and adorable kids. But the sad part, for him money > family. He spends the entire day outside, gets back at evening, spends an hour or two with family, goes to sleep and the cycle repeats. Do you think this is what his family wants? Is this what you’d want? Here comes the problem in life. Even with so many luxuries, he’s still not living the ‘ideal’ life.

On the other hand, a poor man not even managing to earn the quarter of rich man’s, is suffering too. But he has a good life back home. A supportive wife and hard-working kids.

So you see, neither of them is pleased. They both complain about how tough their life is. Instead of trying to stay strong, they give up and think negative. The rich guy will claim how beautiful his (poor’s) family and life is whereas the poor will praise him (rich) for his luxury and easy life.

Everyone goes through the bad times. The only thing I want to prove out here is that ‘Nobody is perfect’. We all lie in the same ship; it’s just the color of the ship that differs.  Be thankful for what you've and keep praying for a better future. Life isn't as easy as it is spelled; it challenges and tests you throughout.

Ramadan Kareem to all my Muslim brothers and sisters. Make the most out of this month. May Allah SWT bless us with all His blessings.  Ameen.

Stay Blessed!
